“I should! It’s finally my year!” The ghost cheered in triumph. “I’ll have to do a celebration with my rabbits too! I want to dress them up for New Years.”

“Oh I was just curious, I mean you were so such a great help with making the plushes I figured you were the type whose good at arts and crafts…” Yuki could just see Sol sketchbook in hand with her rabbits in front of her. 

“I never considered myself one before, I mean when I was a kid I used to draw stars and planets a lot, but I bet your drawing of your rabbits are probably on another level.” Yuki adds with a small sigh. 

“I don’t do much these days besides taking care of my rabbits, so I guess I would be kind of crafty with my hands trying to show my affection towards them,” she lightheartedly laughs at the thought, choosing to ignore the more morbid answer of the ‘crafts’ she was involved in the past.
“Mine aren’t that great either, but i’m sure you’d be better at drawing the night sky and the stars a lot better than me. I might be better at drawing rabbits, but you have more practice with the sky. You could explore more with your drawings and draw Yuno something sometime too! You’d be good at that.”

“I’ll just text Yuno, she should know where the plushes are… I uh I’m still just a little embarrassed that those didn’t turn out as well as I hoped… but I think you’re right about including them in our photos Sol so…” Yuki replies as he takes out his diary and starts texting Yuno after a moment he pauses. 

“Do you have any homemade rabbit art Sol? I don’t think I ever asked….” He was suddenly really curious.  

“I think you did a great job. They came out perfect!” She beams at the memory of seeing him working hard on making the plushes in her home before tilting her head at his question. “Hm? Rabbit art? I do have a ton of drawings of them, why do you ask?”

“That sounds great Sol! I’d love having a picture together with some of your rabbits, I uh don’t have too many photos of hanging out with friends and it would be a great way to start off the new year.” The former shut in was getting more and more excited. Not that he really believed rabbit’s feet were lucky but they were cute and that mattered almost as much. 

“is there anything you’d like Yuno and I to bring with us?” he asked before he forgot to. 

“That’s the spirit! Start off the new year right!” She giggles before answering his question. “I don’t think there’s anything I’d need you to bring, but if you want, why not bring the rabbit plushies you made for Yuno? We can do a photoshoot with my bunnies and the plushes they’re modeled after.” It was getting hard to hide her excitement as she tried to hold off her soft laughter at the thought of how cute the photos will turn out.

“It’s probably lucky to bring rabbits to a shrine when it’s the year of the rabbit, and honestly I’d like to get all the luck I can get for the coming year, so please take as many as would be safe to take Sol.” Yuki thinks out loud, maybe some god other than Deus was super fond of rabbits and helping Sol take hers to the shrine would get them some good will, but probably not. 

“Oh I should take some pictures with my diary while we’re there.” 

“There is no safe number. We conquer in numbers!” She laughs, thinking about the hoard of rabbits she could bring to take over the shrine, but she wouldn’t do that. Of course not. She doesn’t have a big enough stroller.
“If you’re really worried about your luck, I’ll let you chaperone one of my rabbits. You can play with their feetsies too so some of their luck will rub off on you. I’ll take some pictures too!”

“That’s right it’s the year of the rabbit isn’t it? I’m gonna predict that this is gonna be your lucky year Sol. Of course my diary can’t actually predict the future of others, but I’m confident i’m right.” Yukiteru said with a small smile, he hoped he was right of course. 

“But I was asking because I wondered if you wanted to go with Yuno and I?”  Yuki offered, he figured it would be more fun with more people going together than just them. 

“Thank you, Yuki. I’m determined to make sure that comes true!”  She beams at the idea of this year being a brand new start with things going her way. 

“I’m sure your future will be just as fortunate. I’ll work hard to make that come true too.” She confidently nods her head towards him. “I would love to join you two! We could all make a promise to make this year great! Maybe I can bring some of my rabbits along in a stroller so they can visit the shrine too!”
